The objectives of NATD are:

1. To professionally represent, direct and promote the entertainment industry through its members and to suggest ethical guidelines and standards by which this may be done.
2. To maintain awareness by circulating information of value to members, their clients and buyers.
3. To develop and maintain liaison with local, national and international organizations in related fields.
4. To provide opportunities for fellowship and professional interaction through regular meetings.
5. To create professional, educational programs and opportunities for its members.
6. To provided such related services which promote the advancement of the association as directed in the By-laws of NATD.
